Our lawyers provide advice across all types of commercial law. With our focus on client service, we were one of the first law firms to embrace the need to also structure our business along industry sector group lines. Our practice and sector group matrix enables us to develop a comprehensive understanding of our clients’ businesses and markets and to constantly deliver sound and commercially relevant advice from any of our 12 offices. We focus on relationships, not deals, and we are considered more approachable and accessible than many of our competitors. Vacation schemes in London
The 2012 London Vacation Scheme programme will give you the opportunity to spend two weeks within London office, enabling you to experience a seat within two different practice areas. We run three schemes in London and the dates are as follows:
· Spring: Monday 26th March to Thursday 6th April 2012
· Summer 1: Monday 18th June to Friday 29th June 2012
· Summer 2: Monday 9th July to Friday 20th July 2012
• You can start applying from 1st October 2011.
• The deadline for these schemes is 31st January 2012.
Training Contracts
Training contracts last for 2 years. During this time you will have four six-month seats. You will be awarded a priority seat and will undertake a compulsory seat in either banking or corporate and a contentious seat. It is also highly recommended that one seat is spent out of the London office, in an international office, another UK office or complete a client secondment.
Salaries
As of August 2011, our London salaries begin at £37,500, rising to £42,000 in your second year. On qualification salaries then rise to £60,000.
