Converting to law careers in Scotland

If you have a non-law degree and want to become a solicitor in Scotland, you’ll need to undertake a Graduate Entry (Accelerated) LLB Law degree. This is offered by a number of leading Universities in Scotland. The duration of the degree is two years of full time study. Once you complete the LLB degree, you’ll then need to undertake the Diploma in Legal Practice. This is a full time course delivered over the period of one academic year. The Diploma will equip you with the necessary practical knowledge and skills you need to act as a Solicitor or Advocate in Scotland.
